How much sleep do we need ?

  • Humans have adapted to periods of 24 hours that consist of light and dark, named as our biological clock.
  • There is a period of an average of 8 hours of sleep every night.  90% of people spend 7.5- 8 hours a day sleeping. While a group of 5 percent  sleeps less than 6 hours, the remaining 5 percent need a sleep of 12 hours or more.
  • We can determine our ideal sleeping period based on whether we feel rested in the morning and our performance during the day.
